Today "Zalgiris" won both very emotional games against CSKA. The first match was a friendly one, but no matter how old were you, it meant a lot for every fan of "Zalgiris", it was really special to see old timers, like Arvydas Sabonis and Sergėjus Jovaiša, in action. The second match was between the current players of both teams. This match was very important, because the team which takes the victory will top the VTB United League group B.
The first game was between the Legends of both "Zalgiris" and "CSKA". Everybody was expecting for a slow game, but whenever the greatest Lithuanian player of all time - Arvydas Sabonis was on the court, the match turned in a faster moving game. Everybody were stunned when Sabonis made a dunk, but when Sabas made two three pointers in a row, everyone got wild. Nobody could have imagined that a 47 year old legend could make such incredible plays, like a block to his opponent when there were just a few seconds left in the game. The match ended at 46:45 for "Zalgiris" legends, A. Sabonis made a total of 16 points.

The second match wasn't any less dramatic then the first one. It was extremely tight till the last minutes. The winner was clear only when the last minutes came and Darjus Lavrinovic made two shots to put a commanding 7 point lead. The final score was 76:66 for "Zalgiris". Now our team is clearly one of the favourites to win the VTB United League.
